Need to make a change to the FIRM?

Letter of Map Revisions (LOMRs) made easy. Ensure accurate flood risk assessment and proper insurance coverage for your properties.

What is a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR)?

FEMA classifies development into two programs: MT-1 requests, which provide additional flood insurance-related information without altering the Flood Insurance Rate Map (e.g., Letters of Map Amendment or Conditional Letters of Map Revision), and MT-2 requests, which allow for physical changes to the map. MT-2 includes Conditional Letters of Map Revision (CLOMR) or Letters of Map Revision (LOMR). These processes enable FEMA to update flood risk assessments based on project specifics, such as proposed construction elevations.

How it Works

Step 1

Due Diligence

We start with information gathering and analysis. This involves collecting critical data, observing on-site conditions, reviewing historical and hydrological records, and indentifying key features, obstacles, and evidence of changes.
Step 2

Build Case & Narrative

Develop comprehensive documentation in order to create a narrative supported by forms, maps, and hydrological studies. This include overviews, detailed analyses of riverine hydraulics, structures, and topographic data.
Step 3

Case Submission & Completion

Submission to FEMA with:
  • Project Narrative: Description and objectives.
  • Hydrology/Hydraulics Models: Use FEMA-approved methods
  • Topographic Work Map: Certified and detailed.
  • Annotated FIRM: Overlay of effective and revised delineations.
  • RFI and Final Determination
